As unsavory as the name sounds, the "Heat Stroke" trend is derived from a "GQ China" editorial photoshoot of the same name from June that has gone absolutely viral on a global scale. In charge of this editorial was Shawngao and he aimed to highlight the theme of extreme heat in light of a red heat alert issued by Beijing. " Boys, all have heat stroke!!!" says the caption for the photographs as the models, Kim, Ye Hao, Yu Hang, and Ho Jun, photographed by Wintam, show off a sweaty, sunburnt look evoking the sweltering heat of summer, juxtaposed with summery elements like soap suds, swim rings, exploding fruits and melting ice cream making a hot mess, literally.
Ye Hao, in particular, who is a rookie model, has come out of this photoshoot as a rising star and has already accumulated 51.3K followers on Instagram.
