Since their debut in June 2020, Weeekly has proven that they are one of the most formidable rookie idol girl groups of late. The anticipation for their debut was hyped, considering they were the second ever girl group from Play M Entertainment (now IST Entertainment) after Apink—the ten year gap was interesting enough. With this level of exposure because of their respected sunbaes, fans were expectant and hoping for a worthwhile debut, and Weeekly did not disappoint.
Their debut performance on "MCountdown" blew a lot of fans away, and also helped pull new ones in.
