It's no secret that the K-Pop industry is teeming with talent that only grows with every year. Many trainees go the traditional route, spending months, or even more likely several years training at a company in order to reach their dream of making their idol debut. Now, however, idol hopefuls have the option to appear on a K-Pop survival competition program where numerous contestants compete for a spot on the final debut lineup. This was the case for rookie girl group UNIS, formed through SBS' "Universe Ticket".
After their formation in January of this year, it didn't take too long for the project group to make their highly anticipated debut just a few months later in March. And in what seems like a blink of an eye, they've returned with new music - a single album, "Curious". It is comprised of a title track with the same name, along with two b-sides to complete the album. With such prominent acts simultaneously promoting alongside them, it may be tough for the girl group to have sole possession of the spotlight. However, if "Curious" does anything, it proves that the project group has what it takes to become leaders of their generation.
