On the side of K-Dramas, one series has caught the attention of the entire world with its comedically sweet story and delicious dishes: ENA's "Tastefully Yours".
"Tastefully Yours” K-Drama: Cast, Plot, Filming Locations & Where To WatchK-Drama StoriesMay 14, 2025
The lighthearted rom-com can be streamed on Netflix and features prominent actors, Go MinSi and Kang HaNeul. It tells the story of a food conglomerate's son, Han BeomWoo (Kang HaNeul), who will stop at nothing in his pursuit of three Michelin stars. Then there's Mo YeonJoo (Go MinSi), a talented chef who has set up a fine dining restaurant in a quaint alley in Jeonju. The two meet at low points of their life, decide to work together, and gradually fall in love.
"Tastefully Yours" serves a full course of heartwarming romance mixed with hilarious comedic antics that has everyone talking. It has appeared in Netflix's ranking of Top 10 Non-English Shows for two weeks, showcasing the impact it has had on the K-Drama community and beyond. And while the entire cast should be celebrated for this feat, Kang HaNeul deserves a special nod. He shows a much different character compared to his "Squid Game" persona, proving that he can be quite the romanticist, given the right story.
Keeping Up The Momentum
When Kang HaNeul first appeared in front of the public in 2005, he was a 17-year-old adolescent who agreed to stand on stage and sing with his father on KBS morning show, "AM Plaza". The two would continuously prove their singing talent, taking the win a total of three times. Not soon after, Kang HaNeul was able to expand his horizons and went towards his dream of acting, with his first drama being "My Mom, Supermom".
Just like his "Tastefully Yours" co-star, Kang HaNeul also started off as a supporting cast member, appearing in K-Drama hits like "To The Beautiful You" and "The Heirs". However, he would receive one of his first big breaks through his appearance in "Misaeng". He took on the role of Jang BaekGi, one of the main characters in the drama. Through BaekGi, he depicted the harsh realities of working life, the struggles of an office worker, and the lengths one will go in order to succeed. Kang HaNeul delivered such a stunning performance that he was able to win the Star Award - Actor of the Cable TV Awards.
His career continued to follow an upward trend as he appeared in the incredible titles, "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and "When The Camellia Blooms". He showed two different looks in both, showcasing his versatility and growth as an actor. Due to the fact that one was filmed before his mandatory military enlistment and the other filmed after, it also portrayed Kang HaNeul's growth and ability to keep his acting skills sharpened and intact, despite a short hiatus.
Kang HaNeul has consistently impressed audiences, but he gained widespread attention for his role of Kang DaeHo in the "Squid Game" series. His character is loveable, but also human and frightened, causing him to make mistakes and go back on his word. Kang HaNeul captures this dilemma of choosing flight over fight with such chilling realism that audiences were left in an uproar over his character's choices. And with season 3 about to hit Netflix, fans are excited to see the actor return to the "Squid Game" universe. In the meantime, viewers are thoroughly enjoying his wonderful portrayal as Han BeomWoo in "Tastefully Yours".
