Number of International Students Attending Korean Universities Rise in 2024

In mid-August, the Korea Tourism Organization announced that 204,000 international students went to South Korea for studies from January through June. The figure is 50.6 percent higher than the number from the same period last year.

This marks the first time the half-yearly count of student arrivals has surpassed 200,000, although the total number of university students in the country has been higher than this figure since last year.
