About Starship Entertainment and Its New Girl Group, KiiiKiii
Starship Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment agency founded in 2008. In 2013, Kakao Entertainment acquired 70% of the label, making it the majority owner. Thus, Starship became a subsidiary of Kakao but remains an independent label.
Home to several world-renowned K-Pop groups and soloists, Starship is celebrated for its contributions to the Hallyu wave. Therefore, it is considered one of the five major agencies in the Korean pop music scene, with SM, YG, and JYP taking the lead. Among their successful groups are MONSTA X, WJSN, IVE, and CRAVITY, while soloists include K.Will, Brother Su, KiHyun, and SeolA.
