May is going out hotter than ever, and not just in terms of the temperature. While June might be just on the horizon, May has decided to go out with a bang with various music releases such as SHINee's moving single album of "Poet | Artist" as well as K-Drama premieres that have soared to the top of watchlists everywhere. This includes the action-packed historical slow burn "Dear Hongrang", the hilariously comedic "Tastefully Yours", the as well as the heartfelt and poignant "Our Unwritten Seoul".

The latter might have just premiered, but it's already creating a splash among the K-Drama community far and wide. It features a stunning cast with noteworthy names like Park BoYoung, Park JinYoung, and Ryu KyungSoo. It tells the story of two twins, Yu MiRae and Yu MiJi (both played by Park BoYoung) who live completely different lives. MiRae works for a good company, based in Seoul while MiJi's future is still uncertain as she works various jobs. However, everything changes when they decide to switch places, discovering more about themselves and each other in the process.

While much of this story focuses on their lives as adults, we get brief glimpses into their adolescence when they were still growing up. Playing Yu MiRae and Yu MiJi's teenage self is Lee JaeIn. Despite her recent attention, Lee JaeIn's history in the entertainment scene goes back to well before "Our Unwritten Seoul". In reality, she is an actress with over a decade of experience, appearing in her first K-Drama, tvN's "Yellow Boots" in 2012. Being born in 2004, at the time of her debut she was only 8 years old and entered the scene as a child actress. Despite her young age, she began solidifying her presence and building up her extensive repertoire.

Prior to the 2020s, she landed roles in a number of different projects including smash hits "Six Flying Dragons" and "Who Are You: School 2015". While she took part in small roles, casting directors took notice and saw potential in her acting talent. She didn't just limit herself to drama series either, as she participated in various films that included titles like "The Battle: Roar to Victory", "Adulthood", and most notably "Svaha: The Sixth Finger".

Her performance for "Svaha: The Sixth Finger" was so impactful that she was able to win the award for Best New Actress at the prestigious "55th Baeksang Arts Awards". Lee JaeIn's response reminds you of her young age, however, once she collects herself, viewers were able to see a maturity of someone beyond her years and a presence deserving of such accolades.
