TWICE Refreshes Our Palates With “Taste Of Love” Comeback

TWICE has graced us with yet another comeback, this time with their 10th album, “Taste of Love,” which was released today on Jun. 11 at 1 pm (KST). There are three versions of the “Taste of Love” album: “Taste,” “Fallen,” and “In Love.” Each version has a unique color and visual concept.

TWICE released the title track and music video ‘Alcohol-free’ first on Jun. 9. It debuted at number 1 on the Genie Music Chart outdoing their 2018 release 'YES or YES.' It has also topped YouTube's trending worldwide tally, gaining over one million views in 16 hours. 

This time, members JiHyo, NaYeon, JeongYeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, DaHyun, ChaeYoung, and Tzuyu, are serving us refreshing summertime vibes. They are back with all nine members. JeongYeon had taken a hiatus at the end of 2020 but is back to promote with the group again. 

 

Concept 

ChaeYoung explained the concept of ‘Alcohol-free’ to be, “Taking a break at a resort in the summer.” 

JeongYeon mentioned that she hopes the song can give energy to ONCE who need a break during their daily life. JiHyo also explained that the song is designed with the current global pandemic in mind. Since it is difficult to leave the house, TWICE hopes that ONCE can go on vacation with them through their songs. 

The title track ‘Alcohol-free’ is about falling into the type of love that feels like being drunk, even without alcohol. NaYeon said that if you listen carefully you can fall in love with TWICE.
