Based on the webtoon of the same name by HeYum, "The Moon That Rises In The Day" tells a timeless love story spanning a thousand years and many lifetimes. It all started when a Hwarang warrior named DoHa (to be played by Kim YoungDae) met Han RiTa (Pyo YeJin), a prisoner of war. They eventually got married, but the guilt of living with her enemy drove RiTa to murder her own husband, causing his soul to be stuck in time until he can avenge his untimely death. RiTa, on the other hand, fell into the cycle of reincarnation, living out several lifetimes. In her 19th life, she is born as Kang YoungHwa, a woman who can see the spirit of DoHa in mirrors. Her life turns upside down when DoHa's spirit enters the body of her boss, top star Han JunOh, and starts plotting his revenge.
