The end of the year is busy on many different fronts, including the K-Drama industry. Even now, there are various series that look to close out this year on a high note and start 2025 just right. One of these titles include romance mystery, "When The Phone Rings". While it is originally broadcasted through MBC, it is also available on Netflix, where it has achieved massive popularity, reaching as high as the the no. 2 spot on the list for Netflix's Global Top 10 TV Shows, even during its rest week.
Yoo YeonSeok and Chae SooBin stand as the show's main protagonists, as they portray the story of Baek SaEon (Yoo YeonSeok) and his as wife, Hong HuiJoo (Chae SooBin). The two must go head to head with life-threatening incidents, while also trying to improve their romantic relationship, as well as remedy their deep-rooted trauma. At times, the drama is grippingly intense, however, does offer moments of short reprieve through much needed comedic relief and heart-fluttering romance.
The entire cast has been excellent in their character portrayals, but a special nod definitely needs to be shown to Yoo YeonSeok. Along with Chae SooBin, his acting has been stellar, causing audiences everywhere
