When it comes to K-Dramas, it's easy to become immersed in your typical romantic comedy. These series are filled with moments of fluffy romance, hilarious antics, and occasional case for second lead syndrome. The rom-com genre is tried and true, something everyone from any age can thoroughly enjoy. However, with the vast number of dramas that premiere every few months, audiences encounter a bountiful choice across a variety of different genres. And as if to complement the autumn season, ENA's "Dear Hyeri" stirred up the K-Drama community from beginning to end.
Led by an accomplished cast in Shin HaeSun, Lee JinWook, Kang Hoon, and Jo HyeJoo, "Dear Hyeri" did have its fair share of heart-fluttering romance. Yet the relationships presented were anything but perfect - each were incredibly flawed, littered with bright spots in between.
