The upward momentum of webtoon-based K-Dramas has officially reached a peak in 2022. Just in the first half of the year, there have been numerous successful adaptations with even more announced and confirmed for production. The K-Drama adaptation of the internationally popular, highly-rated, omnibus-style youth romance webtoon "Seasons of Blossom" was first announced in 2021. After months of waiting, the casting and release schedules have officially been confirmed. Helmed by Studio Playlist in collaboration with Jaedam and Copus Korea, the K-Drama adaptation will have a total runtime of 300 minutes with episodes of 30 to 40 minutes each. The drama is slated to air in September, 2022.
Originally by HONGDUCK and NEMONE, "Seasons of Blossom" tells the story of young high school students on the verge of adulthood who navigate the complicated climate of love and loss at the tender age of eighteen. It epitomizes the beauty of youth, complete with all its chaos and colour, highlighting true growth and maturity through hardships and inner struggles. The original webtoon is divided into several seasons but the K-Drama will only feature the first two - "BoMi's Flower" and "HaMin's Flower
