The K-Drama world has been ripe with unbelievable hits all throughout 2024 which has resulted in full watchlists and busy discussion forums. The romantic comedy genre has seen a particular rise in popularity due to series like "Queen Of Tears" and "Lovely Runner". However, the industry has experienced its fair share of suspenseful thrillers like SBS' most recent K-Drama, "Connection". It features a marvelous main cast of trusted veterans: Ji Sung, Jeon MiDo, Kwon Yool, and Kim KyungNam. These names alone evoke a sense of certainty that "Connection" will make audiences tune in on a weekly basis.
The drama depicts the life of ten-year detective, Jang JaeKyung (Ji Sung) who forcibly becomes addicted to a new and unknown narcotic. Although he tries to fight against this new found addiction, he is unable to resist his desires and his body starts to unknowingly deteriorate. Oh YoonJin (Jeon MiDo), reporter and JaeKyung's former high school classmate, starts to search for a scoop on this newfound drug case. It's here that their lives become intertwined and huge question marks start to loom menacingly in sight.
