The K-Pop world saw a flood of solo debuts last year. From former GFriend members YuJu and YeRin, to TWICE’s NaYeon, to Red Velvet’s SeulGi and Weki Meki’s Choi YooJung, the solo debuts in 2022 were spectacular. We suspect 2023 will be no different.

As these members made their solo debuts, fans wondered which other members in different groups would be next. We’re sure you wondered too, which one of your favorite groups would have members debuting solo next. Wonder not, because here, we’ll be dishing out 4 K-Pop group members we think will shine solo this year. You’d agree that some of them are quite overdue for the soloist tag.

No brainer here, right? It’s a given that JiHyo should finally make her solo debut in 2023. We’ve seen NaYeon make her debut, so it feels right to choose JiHyo as the next in line. Ever since her Melody Project where she performed and sang Camila Cabello’s "Crown", she deserves to be crowned a soloist too. She’s got all it takes to be one anyway— brilliant dance skills, a solid vocal technique and an undeniable stage presence.
