In the last couple of years, Korean BL fans have been thrilled with the ever-increasing list of interesting BL dramas that have stemmed from the country. A gradual process that has duly generated a high level of interest and appreciation from global fans and has also led to the continuing rapid production of the themed series. We could rightly say now that with the continuous buzz around this themed series by its appreciative audience, just like every other genre of K-Dramas, BL dramas are here to stay.
Like many other genres, one of the main forms of attraction to a series is its storyline. While the talents of its cast are often just as important, sometimes, the storyline is just an inch further, as a good storyline takes the appeal of a series even higher. With BL dramas, over the years, we have seen many with great storylines, others with not so much, and some with impressive potential. However, in any form, combined with the amazing delivery by its cast, many of these dramas rank as a favorite.
Lately, having just a single-season series is slowly becoming a thing of the past as the multiple seasons or parts series are becoming a K-Drama trend. This is also applicable to BL series too as we have seen this theme play in the drama โTo My Starโ and its sequel "To Our Star: Our Untold Stories". There is also a proposed second season of the dramas "Kissable Lips", "Love Class" and "Blueming" too. News that has duly piqued the interest of many fans. This new development has also made us dream about various series we would love to have a season 2 as well. Some of which we just want a continuation of its storyline and others because of its somewhat open-ended ending. Here are 3 BL dramas we would love to have a second season.
1. "Where Your Eyes Linger"

Recorded by many as the first BL series, "Where Your Eyes Linger" was everything we wanted from a BL series: a gripping storyline, impressive acting and dialogue, heart-fluttering romantic moments, fiery chemistry, and a handsome cast. Till date, it still counts as one of the favorite BL dramas by many fans for these reasons and more.
A second season would be amazing and just what fans of this genre would happily receive. Perhaps with a mature storyline that now sees TaeJu (played by Han GiChan) poised or becoming the next owner of the company after his father's death. This scenario doesn't sit well with others and they plot ways to remove him from power, citing his lack of experience and perhaps his sexual orientation as a problem. However, with Gook (played by Jang EuiSoo) by his side, he is able to navigate and solve every issue and even escape so many life-threatening events. These scenarios foster their feelings for each other as in between the chaos that ensues, they still put each other first and continue to fan to bright and fiery flames, their beautiful connection.
2. "The Director Who Buys Me Dinner"

While some might say this series has a conclusive ending others might also say it had an open ending as well. There are many conclusions that could be drawn from this series, however, we must say, the series as a whole was interesting and the acting of its cast was just as impressive. And for these reasons, we need a 2nd season.
Perhaps continuing from where it ended, we could have a storyline that sees the continuation of the amnesia plot as Seol DongBaek (played by Park JeongWoo) desperately tries to make Min YuDam (played by Park YoungWoon) remember him and their history together by recreating and sharing stories of their memories. He would eventually succeed because regardless of remembering their history together, Min YuDam is still attracted to Seol DongBaek. However, the introduction of a new character, a new love interest, tries to put their budding office romance story to a disruptive end.
3. "Light On Me"

Starring Lee SaeOn, Kang YouSeok, and Choe ChanYi, "Light On Me" no doubt ranks as one of the best BL dramas released so far. Its well-fledged out storyline, amazing and interesting dialogue and wonderful chemistry between the cast made it a stand-out and a clear favorite. Even though the story to a very conclusive and wholesome happy ending for our favorite teen couple, we would still love a second season of this series, just for a chance to further bask in the cuteness and lovely chemistry that this couple exudes.
Perhaps now set in college, the story could portray how they navigate the fast-paced life of college amidst finding new interests while trying to keep their relationship strong and happy. This would not be a cut-and-dry love story as its infusion of various characters and situations would test the limit of the love our main couples have for each other, which could either make them stronger together or lead to a breakup.
