August is the month of K-Drama premieres from chilling mystery series "Perfect Family" to heartfelt rom-com "Love Next Door". These shows, and many more, continue 2024's streak of stellar dramas that has viewers hooked to their screen, ready to go on day long binges when necessary. At the very beginning of August, JTBC dropped "Romance In The House", a comedic JTBC series that showcases life's struggles and how people fall (back) in love. "Romance In The House" employs a talented cast in Ji JinHee, Kim JiSoo, Son NaEun, SHINee's MinHo, and ASTRO's Yoon SanHa.
The story depicts the family of Byun MooJin (Ji JinHee), Geum AeYeon (Kim JiSoo), Byun MiRae (Son NaEun), and Byun HyunJae (Yoon SanHa). After years of divorce and separation, Byun MooJin finds himself in front of his family once again, but this time as their landlord. It doesn't take long for him to spill a tiny little secret: his desire to woo Geum AeYeon once again. However, his daughter, Byun MiRae completely opposes it and will do anything in her power to prevent her parents from getting back together.
In between all the laughing and butterflies is a mystery just waiting to unfold - and Byun MooJin stands right at the center of it. Ji JinHee pulls off his character with flying colors and commands the room whenever he's in it. Although there are many rising stars in the industry, Ji JinHee remains as an unbelievably talented veteran deserving of all the praise and respect he's given. That, and more, is certainly visible through JTBC drama "Romance In The House".
