The drama depicts the story of Han BeomWoo (Kang HaNeul), a food conglomerate's son who has no interest in the 'taste' of food, but only seeks to earn the coveted 3 Michelin stars - all in the hopes of becoming the company's successor. Then there's Mo YeonJoo (Go MinSi), a chef at a cozy, hole-in-the-wall restaurant and the polar opposite of Han BeomWoo. She prioritizes 'taste' above all else and will stop at nothing to make a delicious dish. The two meet and decide to work together to achieve their goals while falling in love in the process.
It's lighthearted, warm, and serves as the perfect pick-me-up for any K-Drama enthusiast. The drama is already proving to be a hit among international fans, climbing up to the no. 2 spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English Shows. One of the people responsible for the drama's success is certainly Go MinSi. She carries on the momentum from last year, taking on a role that continues to showcase her acting prowess and versatility.
Go MinSi's Past Year Of Success
Almost reaching a decade into her career, Go MinSi has established herself as a phenomenal talent, able to truly embody every role that she's given. While she did start off in supporting roles, she eventually made her way to leading lady status across multiple projects. Her acting is immersive, often showcasing an enormous range and emotional depth that sucks audiences right into the story. Whenever Go MinSi appears on screen, you just know that good things are coming, whether it be from the actress herself or through the chemistry she shows with her fellow castmates.
It's safe to say that 2024 was a successful year for the actress in both acting and on the variety stage. Her first project of the year came in the form of the second season of renowned cooking variety, "Jinny's Kitchen". In the show's second season, Go MinSi took on the role as the team's dependable yet charming intern. Whether in the kitchen or serving customers in the hall, the actress was incredibly hardworking and praised for her ability to naturally match the team dynamic. She continued this hot streak through her appearance as a main character in "Sweet Home 3" in July and as a spine-tingling antagonist through Netflix's "The Frog" in August.
These projects were so distinct and unique that it was hard to believe we were seeing the same person. However, this speaks to Go MinSi's acting prowess and the legacy she's currently building to become one of the best among the new generation of top actresses. For three consecutive months, Go MinSi trended across social media platforms and cemented herself as one of the Korean actresses that dominated K-Entertainment in 2024. She looks to continue this success in 2025 through "Tastefully Yours".
