“Heavenly Ever After” started by following Lee HaeSook, a tough elderly small-time moneylender demanding payment from her customer with no excuse. She is accompanied by her assistant Lee YoungAe (played by Lee JungEun, “Parasite,” “Our Blues”). At night, she is a loving wife to her bedridden husband, Ko NakJoon (played by Park Woong). Despite their old age, both of them remain devoted to each other.

One day, HaeSook began to contemplate whether heaven and hell exist and where she and her husband would go after death. Not soon enough, NakJoon died peacefully at their home, and HaeSook followed him after.

When HaeSook arrived in heaven, she discovered that NakJoon was eagerly waiting for her. However, the fact that her husband is in his thirties and she is in her eighties takes her aback. NakJoon is also surprised.
