The Busan International Film Festival is South Korea's largest international film festival and also one of the most prestigious in the world. The 28th Busan International Film Festival, or BIFF, is set to be held from 4th to 13th October 2023 at the Busan Cinema Center in Busan. It is highly anticipated among cinephiles worldwide.
The host for the grand Opening Ceremony of the 2023 BIFF is actress Park EunBin. She is the first-ever solo host of the BIFF opening ceremony. Park EunBin previously won the "Best Lead Actress" award at the Busan International Film Festival – Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards in 2022 for "Extraordinary Attorney Woo".
Actor Lee JeHoon was previously scheduled to host the BIFF opening ceremony alongside Park EunBin. However, due to health issues, his attendance had to be canceled. We wish Lee JeHoon a speedy recovery.
The opening ceremony of the 2023 BIFF will shine the spotlight on the Korean film "Because I Hate Korea" by Director Jang KunJae, starring Go AhSung and Joo JongHyuk, among others.
