One of the most highly anticipated K-Dramas of 2023, "D.P. Season 2", was finally released last week. Right off the bat, the sequel received high critical acclaim and is currently the 5th most-watched non-English TV show on Netflix. It has also ranked within the top 10 in 7 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Among all the praise for the show, one particular actor is being lauded for his extraordinary performance - Bae NaRa.

Bae NaRa plays Jang SeongMin or "Nina" in "D.P. Season 2". Jang SeongMin is a Theatre and Film major. He is shown to be bullied by his seniors for applying for the role of "Nina", the female protagonist of "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov. Soon after, he enlists in the military for his mandatory service and is relentlessly abused at his base. There is sexual abuse implied too, which makes matters even worse. Not being able to take it anymore, he escapes and becomes a deserter with the D.P. team after him.
