In recent years in Korea, there has been a remarkable increase in the conversation surrounding pet-friendly travel on social media. According to SumTrendBiz, mentions of pet-friendly travel in the first half of 2024 have surged 3.3 times compared to the same period in 2021.

This trend is further supported by a survey conducted by the Korea Tourism Organization, which reveals that 70.1% of respondents have experienced day trips with their pets in 2024, a slight decrease from 2022. Similarly, 53% of respondents have taken overnight trips with their pets, down from 60.4% in 2022.
