Fresh off the release of their first album and two successful shows in the United States, The Rose enchanted a near-capacity crowd at the Roadrunner in Boston, Mass. last Monday for its "HEAL TOGETHER" World Tour.
The quartet, consisting of leader WooSung (lead vocals, electric guitar), DoJoon (main vocals, keyboard, acoustic guitar), HaJoon (drums, sub-vocals), and JaeHyeong (bass, sub-vocals), performed tracks from their first studio album "HEAL", as well as old favorites, such as 'Sorry' and 'RED'. Despite being apart for two years for mandatory military service, the group didn’t miss a beat.
“When we were doing that [catching up], we found out that the reason that we started The Rose,” WooSung explained, “The main message was healing together, healing with music. That’s why we called this [album] "HEAL". We had things to heal by writing this album. We had things to overcome on our end and we just hope we can share this with you guys and our amazing Black Roses.”
The band’s set kicked off with a slow triplet of songs – 'Definition of ugly is', 'Insomnia', and 'She’s In The Rain' before picking up with WooSung’s own 'Modern Life'. The group’s bouncy
