London was introduced to CIX back in July during one of many summer festivals catered to K-Pop fans. That little taste was not enough for FIX (the group's fanbase). The group didn't keep them waiting for long as CIX announced their second tour, "Save Me, Kill Me World Tour", and this time, unlike their first tour, it included multiple European stops, and of course, London was one of them.
The passion and love FIX has for the 5 men (BX, SeungHun, YongHee, Bae JinYoung, and HyunSuk) made many loyal fans withstand the freezing temperatures while waiting since the early morning hours. Despite the best efforts of the venue's security, the zealous fans rushed to enter when it was time for the doors to open. After a short wait, the lights dimmed down, and the sound of the EDM track 'Numb' from their 2nd EP filled the O2 Forum Kentish Town. The energy and excitement of the crowd were palpable even from the moment the five figures were barely visible on stage. The atmospheric lighting turned bright red, and the men were ready to impress all attendants. The group's synchronized dance moves with beautiful formations were a staple as they performed the songs 'What You Wanted' and 'Jungle' next.
One of the show's highlights was when the members of CIX took the stage to perform their solos. Each member chose to cover a song that would demonstrate their personality and skills. BX was first with 'Sriracha' (original artist Marteen). The crowd erupted into cheers as he freely roamed the stage jumping full of energy and hyping the fans. Next, it was time for the hyper-emotional 'I'm So Tired' (original artist Lauv) performed by YongHee, while after him, Bae JinYoung performed another slow and emotional song Justin Bieber's 'Nothing Like Us'. These introspective and vulnerable songs allowed the audience to appreciate the members' vocal abilities while they managed to connect on a deeper level. Many FIX looked like they were on the verge of tears. SeungHun changed the mood by doing a complete 180. Dressed in a rock-inspired outfit with ripped jeans, a loose jacket, a loose tie and a choker, he performed 'Cake by the Ocean' (original artist DNCE). He confessed that this performance was explicitly picked for the London crowd. Last was HyunSuk, who performed the beloved British 'Let it Go' by James Bay. A touching stripped-down stage that showcased his soulful and emotional voice. The audience was captivated by his rendition of the song and showed their appreciation with loud cheers and applause.
After the solo performances, CIX returned to the stage as a group to perform more of their hit songs like 'Movie Star', 'Cinema', and 'The One'. The crowd's energy never wavered, with FIX singing and dancing along to every beat. As the concert came to an end, they thanked their fans for their support and love, promising to return to London soon. Overall, CIX put on an incredible show that showcased their talent and stage presence. But as with most successful K-Pop concerts, this was a truly unforgettable experience for FIX as the members also engaged in playful banter with each other, showing off their charming personalities and creating a fun and lighthearted atmosphere. CIX, we can't wait to have you back!
