As the K-Pop industry stands today, there's an overwhelming amount of groups that are currently active. Whether they just got their start or currently working on an upcoming album, the space is filled to the brim with undeniable talent. With this in mind, however, it takes quite a large amount of effort to truly stand above the competition and become known to netizens across the globe. Of course, it's much easier with the chance of virality with short form content, however, idols must still have that "wow" factor to captivate an audience.
Just this week, a new K-Pop girl group has made their debut and looks to leave their mark on such a competitive scene: SAY MY NAME. The rookie group is signed under iNKODE and is comprised of 7 members, Hitomi, JunHwi, SeungJoo, Kanny, DoHee, SoHa, and Mei. Weeks prior to their debut, there was a considerable amount of buzz around the group for various reasons. Now that they've finally released their debut mini-album, the question needs to be asked: will they be able to succeed in such a competitive industry?
