Episodes 4 and 5 of "The Worst Of Evil" have been released, and superstar BIBI has officially made her entrance!
"The Worst Of Evil" tells the story of police detective Park JoonMo (played by Ji ChangWook), who risks everything for a double promotion by taking on the mission of infiltrating the most dangerous drug cartel running drug trade between Korea, Japan, and China. The head of this cartel is Jung GiCheol (played by Wi HaJun), who also happens to have a past connection with JoonMo's wife Yoo EuiJung (Lim SeMi).
Spoiler Alert!
In the first three episodes released at once, the premise is solidified. Park JoonMo has taken on the identity of Kwon SeungHo and successfully made a place for himself in the Gangnam Union. In a short time, he has gained the trust of Jung GiCheol and is now his personal bodyguard. However, EuiJung's appearance shakes things up for both men.
In the latest episodes, we follow JoonMo as he makes his way to the top and joins GiCheol on his elusive "fishing" trip. However, after being ambushed on the way, he saves GiCheol's life, which in turn endears him to the boss even more. As his new right-hand man, JoonMo is sent to meet with guests from China, which could bring him closer to bringing the cartel down.
This is where BIBI's character HaeRyeon first appears in "The Worst Of Evil". HaeRyeon is a mysterious Korean-Chinese distributor of a drug factory in China who comes to Korea on business with GiCheol. She first appears in a bright red wig and bold red lips. She is welcomed by GiCheol, who is flustered by her identity. Soon after, she removes her lipstick and takes off her wig to reveal her luscious and long black hair.
BIBI's screen presence is commanding and powerful, perfectly fitting into the noir atmosphere of "The Worst Of Evil". Her subtle yet intense performance is one of the highlights of the latest episode, piquing our interest in what's to come next. Most notably, she neither appears as a friend nor a foe, which raises curiosity about her role in the future.
It will be interesting to see what kind of turn BIBI brings to "The Worst Of Evil". You can watch the K-Drama on Disney+.
