MOONBIN&SANHA of ASTRO have rung in the new year with an extraordinary new mini-album titled "Incense", and it is every bit as diverse, poignant and thrilling as we thought it would be and more. This is the subunit's third release and reflects a sense of sonic maturity and evolution as well as an unbeatable synergy that has now become an integral part of MOONBIN&SANHA's charm.
Soon after its release, "Incense" dominated charts and topped search trends worldwide, proving its global influence at once. It was highly appreciated for its production value, versatility, stylistic and creative choices, as well as for the duo's power-packed performances by fans and critics alike.
The title track 'Madness' which is a pop/dance song with an intense bass sound, elements of EDM, and big band, boasts of MOON BIN's resounding vocals, YOON SAN-HA's intoxicating rap, and a characteristic orchestral grandeur like no other. It creates a link of extension with MOONBIN&SANHA's previous EP “Refuge” and continues the thread of coherence to create an ASTRO-verse that is not only addictive but also supremely intriguing.
"Incense" also features solo tracks by both MOON BIN ('Desire') & YOON SAN-HA ('Wish'), both of which are excellent detours from the passion of 'Madness' and add wonderfully to the eclectic soundscape of the album. MOON BIN co-wrote 'Madness' and 'Desire' whereas YOON SAN-HA both co-wrote and co-composed 'Wish', imparting their own unique scent to "Incense".
