A new K-Pop coed group, called ALLDAY PROJECT, recently generated major buzz with their debut song, ‘FAMOUS.’ This track surprisingly made history on MelOn, one of South Korea's major streaming platforms. Notably, MelOn is known for being the site where many artists struggle to get recognized.

Therefore, hitting the chart is already a big deal. However, what the five-member group achieved goes beyond the number of streams. What did they actually accomplish, and what makes it more meaningful? Let's have a closer look at the recent chart success of ALLDAY PROJECT.

Who is the Co-Ed K-Pop Group ALLDAY PROJECT?

ALLDAY PROJECT is a five-member co-ed group under THE BLACK LABEL, the company that YG Entertainment's producer Teddy Park founded. They officially debuted on June 23 with the debut single album “FAMOUS.” The album consists of double title tracks: ‘FAMOUS’ and ‘WICKED.’

The quintet became the talk of the town before its debut because of its members. One of them is YoungSeo, a former trainee under Source Music and BELIFT LAB, who was supposed to debut as a member of ILLIT.

WooChan is similar to YoungSeo in a way that he was also under a HYBE sub-label, particularly BigHit Music. He was part of the pre-debut group Trainee A but left the company after BigHit canceled their debut.

Moon SeoYoon, promoting as Annie, also gained traction because she is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group’s chairwoman Lee MyungHee and the eldest daughter of the current chairwoman Chung YooKyung. The Shinsegae conglomerate stands as one of South Korea's biggest department stores and duty-free businesses.

Another female member is Bailey Sok. She is a popular Korean-American dancer and choreographer. Finally, Lee ChaeWon, promoting as Tarzzan, is a Korean model and dancer. He has made several music video appearances, including in NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ and i-dle’s ‘I DO.’
