Although the end of the year is fast approaching, the K-Drama community still saw the premiere of multiple noteworthy shows to keep our watchlists full and the last month interesting. There are also a few more series waiting to drop before the clock turns to January 1st. It's certainly an exciting time as there's a mixture of both proven veterans and rising stars among the cast lists that keep audiences coming back. Most recently, thrilling mystery romance K-Drama "When The Phone Rings" has captivated viewers and left them yearning for more.
The MBC series is led by Yoo YeonSeok, Chae SooBin, Heo NamJun, and Jang GyuRi. They aim to portray the story of Baek SaEon (Yoo YeonSeok) and his as wife, Hong HuiJoo (Chae SooBin), as they must face a series of life-threating incidents. All of this starts when Hong HuiJoo is suddenly kidnapped by an unidentified individual. She eventually makes her way back home, however, her marriage with Baek SaEon significantly changes because of it. Now, they must face the kidnapper head on, while also redefining their marriage in the process.
Despite only being out for two weeks, the initial episodes have been nothing short of stellar, as the gripping storyline twirls audiences around its finger. And as usual, Chae SooBin's acting has been making headlines as the drama trends higher. Her performance has been one of the drama's many selling points and a reason why viewers have become so immersed into the series.
