In the current landscape of K-Dramas, "Family By Choice" has captivated audiences due to its comedic relief, hints of bubbling romance, and healing nature. Led by Hwang InYoup, Jung ChaeYeon, and Bae HyeonSeong, it's become a series netizens just cannot get enough of, even ranking in the top 10 shows of Netflix Korea. This isn't an easy feat due to the strength of the competition, however, it radiates a warmth that naturally draws audiences to the show.
It is centered around three individuals, Kim SanHa (Hwang InYoup), Yoon JooWon (Jung ChaeYeon), and Kang HaeJoon (Bae HyeonSeong), who come from different backgrounds but grow up as one, tightknit family. Although not related by blood, they cultivate a strong, sibling-like relationship that persists from childhood to beyond. However, after various happenings, they must separate towards the end of their high school career and reunite as young adults. Although there are some pockets of laughter, "Family By Choice" is touching and heartfelt.
