When an individual thinks about K-Dramas, their minds naturally wander to the realm of romantic comedies. It's hard not to when the lighthearted love stories, combined with the hilarious antics of various characters are just so entertaining to watch. But as many K-Drama enthusiasts have learned, it's never good to judge a drama based on its genre. There have been many melodramas, period pieces, and slow burns that have captivated both the Korean audience at home and those viewing from across the globe. Now, another drama has arrived to make a stand among the many ongoing love stories currently on air - and it's none other than webtoon-based psychological thriller, "Perfect Family".
One of the pivotal characters to the story, Choi SeonHee, is played by Park JuHyun. Her parents are portrayed by Yoon SeAh as Ha EunJoo, and Kim ByungChul as Choi JinHyuk. While they appear spotless and without blemish, Cho SeonHee becomes involved in a murder case, causing tensions to run high and suspicions to grow. Their image as an ideal family starts to show cracks, causing everyone to be on edge while waiting for the various mysteries to unfold.
It seems over a year's wait was worth it, as the first two episodes were scarily intense that pushed everyone to the edge of their seats. While there are other addictive series in the ratings race, "Perfect Family" packs the right punch to make itself a worthy contender for the top.
