HYBE X GEFFEN
HYBE is preparing to launch their first-ever global girl group formed in collaboration with American label Geffen Records. This group will undergo the K-Pop training system, and the process will be recorded and released through a documentary on Netflix. Needless to say, this is a grand project on a scale bigger than ever before, and expectations are sky-high for how a global girl group based on the K-Pop methodology will turn out. Now, to get to that point, HYBE X Geffen are holding an audition program called "The Debut: Dream Academy" to let fans decide the final lineup.
Out of 120,000 applicants, 20 were chosen to undergo a year of training in Los Angeles. These 20 young women will be competing in "The Debut: Dream Academy", which will premiere on its official YouTube channel on September 1 at 11 AM ET, and over the next 12 weeks, fans can vote for their favorite contestants via TikTok and Weverse. The grand finale, set for November 17, will unveil the selected members and the group's name.
