"The Childe" Movie
One of the most highly-anticipated Korean films of 2023, "The Childe" was recently released in South Korea. Thanks to the immense attention and love the film has received, it is also being released internationally such as in USA, Canada and India. Needless to say, it is one of the hottest films to come out of the Korean entertainment industry at the moment and for good reason too! "The Childe" tells the story of Marco (played by Kang TaeJu), a half-Korean and half-Filipino young man living in the Philippines. His mother is sick and in desperate need of an operation that will save her life. Naturally, the procedure is expensive and the lack of funds is delaying it while her condition worsens. To make quick money, Marco engages in illegal activities, leading him to get ambushed and nearly killing him. His only other option is to look for his biological father, who can fund the surgery.
