In the K-Pop industry, idols have slowly moved away from solely appearing on broadcasting stations and radio programs alone. In this era of entertainment, a vast diversity of content has popped up via YouTube in the form of variety programs and talk shows. These programs are even led by idols themselves, allowing them to interact with members from different groups.
One YouTube channel that has appeared and produces content featuring Korean celebrities is @findyourKODE, or simply KODE. The content that they produce involves two celebrities that may not have even met. They have a blind meeting in which they use a chatting application to see whether or not they share any similarities and can become each other's 'KODE Mate'.
Some of the pairs that have already appeared on the YouTube channel include aespa's Winter with MiJoo, BaekHo with VIVIZ's SinB, and rapper GREE with WEi's Kim YoHan. Without knowing the other person's identity, they have a genuine and exciting conversation with one another, providing feelings of warmth to viewers all across the globe.
