In the last couple of years, K-Pop idols starring in BL dramas have become a norm that fuels the global interest and popularity of the genre. And for "A Shoulder To Cry On", perhaps that interest was vividly fanned to flames as it was revealed that the main leads will be two members of the same group, OMEGA X.

After the unfortunate case of the mistreatment of the group by their former agency and also the eventual cancellation of their exclusive contract with them, fans were expectantly waiting for some new development, perhaps something that washes away the dark cloud that has come from the many months filled of heartbreaking revelations about a group that many thought were having the full support and care as they sought to achieve their dreams as artists.

The storyline ordinarily bothered on the cute-themed drama, wrapped with the enemies-to-lovers trope.
