Patricia Yiombi is the most popular female Congolese entertainer in South Korea right now! You might recognize her from her brother Jonathan's YouTube channel (he is the most popular male Congolese entertainer in South Korea at the moment), their other variety show/broadcast endeavors together, or even from her casting in the latest ENA variety show "HyeMiLeeYeChaePa".
"HyeMiLeeYeChaePa" is a variety show with a focus on interior design as the cast members live in an empty house and have to earn fictional 'cash' to furnish it. The cast consists of Girl's Day's HyeRi, (G)I-DLE's MiYeon, YGX's LeeJung, Choi YeNa, LE SSERAFIM's Kim ChaeWon, and Patricia. You might be very familiar with the other names on the show, but new to Patricia.
So, let's get to know more about her!
Patricia was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 16, 2002. She is currently 20 years old.
She first moved to South Korea as a refugee and has continued to live here since.
She became popular through a number of features on her brother Jonathan's YouTube channel which has evolved to content featuring some of the most popular Korean stars like SunMi, EXO's XiuMin, etc. The duo has appealed, especially to the Korean general public, with their hilarious chemistry and typical brother-sister relationship. Patricia has appeared on a number of broadcasts since.
Fans are really enjoying her appearance on "HyeMiLeeYeChaePa", too. Viewers of the show have been raving about her amazing 'gag code' (the term Koreans use for 'sense of humor' - ๊ฐ๊ทธ์ฝ๋ in Korean), how funny she makes the show, and her great chemistry with the other cast members.
Some interesting facts about Patricia:
She moved to Korea at kindergarten age and only went to Korean schools her whole life (no international schools) so she speaks mostly Korean, in addition to her home languages Lingala and French, due to her upbringing. She can only speak as much English as the average Korean person.
Her ideal type is actor Son SukKu from "My Liberation Notes", "Big Bet", and more.
This is just a basic introduction to who she is. We're looking forward to seeing how her career progresses.
