In recent years, webtoon-based K-Dramas have garnered more and more popularity, creating a flux of audience for both mediums of art. There were innumerable webtoon-based K-Dramas that found great success globally in 2021 and in 2022, there are already tens that have been revealed to be getting an adaptation.
One such drama adaptation of a webtoon that fans have been eagerly waiting for is "See You In My 19th Life". The webtoon tells the story of a Ban JiEum, a woman with a secret. She has reincarnated 19 times and retains the memories from all her past lives. This inevitably means that she is essentially hundreds of years old, at least when it comes to her mental age owing to the emotional baggage she has been carrying through 19 lives. However, this is not to say that she doesn't go through the physical and mental developmental stages of life like childhood, adolescence, puberty, and so on just like everybody else. In her 18th life, she meets Moon SeoHa as JuWon, and their relationship as little kids changes her life for the better. However, after a tragic incident cuts her time short, she reincarnates in her 19th life and sets out to reconnect with those she left behind.

According to reports, actress Shin HyeSun will be playing the leading role of Ban JiEum, our protagonist's 19th reincarnation. Ban JiEum is witty, playful and quite obviously, always mature for her age. She holds deep wisdom but also has a longing for childlike innocence, something that drew JuWon to SeoHa at 12 years old in her 18th life.
