Stanning a K-Pop group can be one of the most joyful parts of a fan's life. Unfortunately, sometimes there are limits to how long a K-Pop group can be active. When K-Pop idols debut they sign a contract to promote as a group for a certain period of time. Thereafter, they will be faced with the option to renew their contracts or sometimes the company will decide what happens to a group. This can be quite an anxious time for fans as they hope that their favorite groups can stay together in at least some way, shape, or form.
Luckily for K-Pop fans, in recent years, the trend surrounding the end of contractual obligations for K-Pop idols has been changing. Whereas before idol groups would mostly disband if they didn't renew their contracts... Now, many groups have found ways to stay together even if members choose to leave the group. One thing that's important in this whole process is for the group to reserve the rights to their trademark which allows them to promote together under the same name despite leaving their original company.
