There's no doubt that South Korea is known for its drinking culture. This is portrayed through K-Dramas, MVs, and etc. Due to cultural and society norms, it's not unusual to hear stories on K-Pop idols going out for drinks. Many groups are even asked in interviews about their drinking tolerance and if certain members have a special drinking habit. Some idols may also appear on YouTube drinking shows like "Street Alcohol Fighter" and "My Alcohol Diary" hosted by Super Junior's HeeChul and Lee YoungJi respectively.
Despite these societal norms, some idols prefer to avoid drinking completely.
