A majority of the K-Pop community was originally introduced to the medium through K-Pop idol groups with performances full of energy and visual spectacles. As much as you try to focus on one particular thing, there are a hundred more things happening at once. From the exceptional choreography to set design and/or music video cinematography, part of the appeal of K-Pop groups is the fact that they're an experience themselves.
However, not all music to come out of the Korean entertainment industry is necessarily geared towards the same kind of experience. Soloists make up an essential part of this world and despite the fact that they're just one person, these artists can command the stage like nobody's business.
