Just like any language, the Korean language has a wide variety of different dialects and regional accents. These are often referred to as satoori in Korean. A majority of idols and celebrity personalities have trained to speak without satoori in order to communicate with the general public.
But no matter how hard or long they train, their regional dialects still remain a part of them. They're able to easily slip into satoori when they're speaking with family on broadcast or if it's requested from fans and various shows. When they switch into satoori, there's a notable change in their tone of voice and image. Some idols' satoori sounds so charismatic that you cannot help but listen to their accent for hours on end.
Here are a few male K-Pop idols who have swoon-worthy satoori.
1. ATEEZ's San

San comes from Namhae in Gyeongsang Province. If he wasn't charismatic enough, those levels multiply tenfold when he uses satoori. There's a rough sexiness to it that sweeps you off your feet with just one line. You can't help but feel weak in the knees the moment you hear San's satoori.
2. CRAVITY's HyeongJun

HyeongJun was born in Tongyeong from Gyeongsang Province. Originally, the idol has a cute and youthful aura that covers him from head to toe. But that quickly changes the moment you hear him use satoori. With just one sentence, you will find yourself falling for HyeongJun's endless charms.
3. SF9's JaeYoon
acting 101 with #JAEYOON
🐣: hey i don’t need anything else. i won’t ask you to date me or anything so just stay where i can see you. i won’t even ask to talk or hold your hand, just stay where i can see you.

This clip is an oldie and a goodie. It shows Busan native JaeYoon's mesmerizing satoori. Here, he pretends to be acting out a heart racing romance scene. If JaeYoon tried this in an actual drama, we're sure wedding bells would soon be ringing due to his smooth and charismatic delivery. Hopefully this drama will become a reality after the idol is discharged from the military.
4. PENTAGON's WooSeok

From his deep, charismatic voice, it can be hard to believe that WooSeok is the maknae of his group. Although he's trained to get rid of his accent, it does slip out from time to time. The Gwangju native's satoori is charming and will have you smiling from ear to ear.
5. ATEEZ's SeongHwa

SeongHwa is but another ATEEZ member who possesses swoon-worthy satoori. When he uses it, he makes the hearts of all ATINY melt and you can totally see one of the reasons why so many have decided to stan the Jinju-born idol. SeongHwa is just dripping everywhere with charisma, including his regional dialect.
