If you've been in the K-Drama fandom for longer than a year now and would consider yourself an expert, you probably cannot deny the fact that 2024 was one of the best years we have had in K-Dramaland in a very long time. Productions released this year achieved immense and unprecedented success, worthy of being credited for renewing the global love for Hallyu. We had some stellar scripts, iconic performances, powerful rising stars, and, of course, critical and commercial successes. K-Dramas from this year so far have attracted brand new fans from all around the world and brought back older fans who were admittedly in a K-Slump. If that's not impressive, we don't know what is!
With all that said, we're only halfway through the year and the Korean entertainment industry has a lot more where that came from. Some highly-anticipated K-Dramas from the second half of the year include "Love Next Door" with Jung SoMin and Jung HaeIn, "The Frog" with Kim YunSeok, Yoon KyeSang, and Go MinSi, and "What Comes After Love?", with Lee SeYoung and Kentaro Sakaguchi, among others, that are expected to continue the upward trend of popularity.
