Since the 2nd generation of K-Pop, it’s become a thing for K-Pop groups to adopt concepts. Be it concepts for stages or their general group concept, a sort of identity in this form is mostly sought after for a lot of idol groups, both male and female.
K-Pop girl groups have especially been known to produce an assortment of concepts. From Red Velvet’s famous and widely acclaimed ‘red and velvet’ concept, to former girl group IZ*ONE and their dreamy yet mature concept, even down to the most recent one: NewJeans’s Y2K concept with a fun and young twist.
