On September 5th will be finally able to see the new project of Red Velvet's Joy - "Once Upon a Small Town" - a KakaoTV web K-Drama (also available on Netflix) where the idol will play one of the main characters. The drama is about 3 people living ordinary lives in Heedong Village. Red Velvet's Joy plays Ahn JaYoung - a devoted police officer, whose golden heart is appreciated by the village's habitants. Choo YoungWoo takes on the role of Han JiYool - a veterinarian, who leaves his life in Seoul to take care of his grandfather's clinic during his absence. The lead trio is completed by Baek SungChul - Lee SangHyeon, a young farmer and a trusted friend of JaYoung.
Red Velvet's member gained a lot of popularity in the K-Drama scene thanks to her role in "Tempted", where she portrayed a young female caught up in a problematic relationship. With this and other projects, the celebrity confirmed that she is not only an incredible K-Pop idol but also a talented actress. The new series "Once Upon a Small Town" will show K-Drama viewers a different face of Joy as an actress.
