The Korean Wave, or Hallyu, continues to shape global pop culture, with new trends emerging across different regions. From the dominance of K-Pop to the growing fascination with Korean cuisine, 2024 has been a defining year for South Korea's cultural influence. To better understand these shifts, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea, in collaboration with the Korea Culture Information Service Agency, has released the "2024 Global Hallyu Trend Analysis Report". This report, based on a comprehensive study of 680,000 pieces of Hallyu-related content from foreign news articles and social media searches between October 2023 and September 2024, provides deep insights into the evolving landscape of Korean culture’s global reach.

The study sheds light on how different regions engage with various aspects of Hallyu, from K-Pop and K-Dramas to K-Movies and K-Food. It also highlights the role of major cultural events, such as the 2024 Paris Olympics, in amplifying Korea’s presence on the world stage.
